Het Natuurwetenschappelijk Gezelschap Leiden organiseert lezingen en excursies voor alumni en (oud-)medewerkers van de Faculteit Wiskunde en Natuurwetenschappen en het LUMC én geïnteresseerden uit de regio Leiden.

Alumni kunnen op verschillende manieren deelnemen aan (vervolg)onderwijs en cursussen die de Universiteit Leiden aanbiedt. Ook organiseert het Alumnibureau een aantal keer per jaar masterclasses rondom een actueel onderwerp, speciaal voor Leidse alumni.

De faculteiten van de Universiteit Leiden onderhouden op verschillende manieren contact met alumni van hun faculteit.

Rond 26 november worden op ruim veertig locaties wereldwijd Cleveringabijeenkomsten georganiseerd voor Leidse alumni. Zo ook in Tokio, waar hoogleraar Japanstudies Ivo Smits zijn Cleveringalezing hield voor een volle zaal.

Wat zijn de belangrijkste thema's in het uitvoeren van systemen voor bio-energie ?

We leven in een tijd waarin alles razendsnel verandert. ‘Een leven lang leren’ is belangrijker dan ooit. Met dat gegeven scherp op het netvlies, weten steeds meer dertigers de weg naar hun alma mater ook na hun afstuderen te vinden. Want: bijblijven is een must.

Op 14 oktober 2021 is het publieksboek uitgekomen. Sindsdien kunnen alle bestanden en links via deze website geraadpleegd worden.

Op zaterdag 21 september kwamen honderden alumni terug naar hun studentenstad voor het jaarlijkse Alumnifestival. Zij konden rekenen op een middag gezellig bijpraten met oud-studiegenoten, een 'walking dinner' en een speciaal voor hen georganiseerd programma.

Zo’n 650 bèta-studenten van de Universiteit Leiden en de Hogeschool Leiden en 30 bedrijven ontmoetten elkaar tijdens de 31e editie van de Bètabanenmarkt op 18 maart 2015.

Mede dankzij volhardendheid van een Leidse onderzoeksgroep wordt kanker in de nabije toekomst mogelijk opgespoord met slechts een simpel druppeltje bloed. Alumnus Dennis Jansen is onlangs verkozen als Jongerenvertegenwoordiger bij de Verenigde Naties. De komende twee jaar zet hij zich in voor het gebied Duurzame Ontwikkeling en gaat hij hierover met jongeren in gesprek.
